"La Natura" ("Nature") represents to me, our truest self, everything at its most honest, transparent and naked.
The daily lives of women in their most natural form, the linear lines of Florentine trees, farms, vineyards and rivers, are all embodiments of nature. Through them, the viewer can relate to my work, as they gaze over a green field, or even as they go about their daily life routine.
Nudity highlights our bodies' "outer" flaws, yet with nothing to hide behind, it opens up our eyes to what is hidden beneath: our "inner" truth. Giving way to understanding a person's inner self, focusing on body language and what their personalities project, rather than the superficiality of consumerisms and material appearance.
There is nothing more naked than nature, be it the Tuscan landscape or the persona one is born with. I try to underscore the expression of nature as I look beyond the apparent and perceive the truer qualities beneath.
