I envisioned lands where there is nothing but grace and liberty, clarity and openness, pleasures and infinite harmony of all spirits and sacred creatures.
The journey began by fleeing civilization to a distant mystical realm... to freedom. Nature, is the starting point, where memories are triggered and imaginations are stirred.
One’s power of imagination can invent exoticism a re-imagined ‘new’ reality;
a reality where the goodness of mankind- unaltered by its society, purified by nature, unconcerned by individual beauty- reflects only the serenity and lush of its surroundings.
I believe that regression to a genuine, primitive life is the true driving force to modernism; to leave the artificial behind to the heart of nature with all its echos would improve the world we know today. This was my chance to put a small part of the world in order and reconcile us to the randomness we otherwise face.
In a fanciful depiction, and a desire for fusion of body and soul with nature, I sought a voyage into myth. A myth of land devoid of trouble and ache, absolved of guilt and sin. It is only there would we be alive with playful minds free enough to wonder and fantasize of an earthly paradise.
