Inspirations of Fuchsia
Color is a pivotal component that plays a major role in the formation of the visual, aesthetic, and spiritual life of human beings as well as all creatures that inhabit this vast universe. In the world of Art, the role of color is magnified so that it encompasses the explicit and the implicit, the real and the symbol, the obvious and the mysterious. In fact, color is one of the secrets of creativity; it is also a manifestation of authenticity and innovation, since it is capable of capturing all the feelings and thoughts of the artist.
In this exhibition, the color pink, or more specifically “Fuchsia”, was chosen to be the major common factor in all the works on display. This choice is by no means a haphazard one, for it is closely linked to the tangible and intangible significance of this color. Fuchsia is a color that inspires hope, joy, love, contentedness, and purity. In fact, it is also a symbol of peace, harmony, safety, transparency, and delicacy.
I dealt a lot with the color Fuchsia in my previous works, but this exhibition sheds a particular light on the capacity of the color. The color Fuchsia has a unique presence that while dominant, varies from one work to another: a presence that aims at reinforcing the feelings of love, tolerance, and solidarity at a cruel time in which materialism, anger, and racism prevail.
“Inspirations of Fuchsia” declares the triumph of optimism, happiness, and love everywhere.
