The best is yet to come
One day merging into another.. such is the fabric of life. The present becomes the past, in turn becoming the future. Today ends up as just another day in the past, our only memories of that day is what has been engraved in our imagination, escaping from oblivion. We can only perceive an image by superimposing our imagination onto the days known to us as the 'present'. Or we may catch a glimpse of this image at the close of a day or even several days. Creative imagination is essentially the dwelling place in which one or more bittersweet image resides, either wholly or residually.
The works in this exhibition depict all that has anchored my past and, at the same time, all that awaits me tomorrow. Whatever can be described as sweet tasting can never be free of bitterness. In turn, whatever is bitter contains within its folds an indescribable sweetness.
I share with you in this exhibition a taste of the days making up my life... my yesterdays and my tomorrows. Tomorrow, as I see it, conveys a glimmer of hope... we can only wonder if it will bring joy in its wake...
